Comprehensive Cancer Centers

The National Cancer Institute has designated some cancer treatment centers as comprehensive cancer centers. To qualify, they are required to:

  1. Have basic laboratory research in several fields
  2. be able to transfer research findings into clinical practice
  3. conduct clinical studies and trial
  4. research cancer prevention and control
  5. offer information about cancer to patients, the public, and health care professionals
  6. provide community service related to cancer control.
